Makes 12 crumps
300g plain white flour
400ml warm water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp dried yeast
Olive oil
6 crumpet rings, 2 batches
Make batter (3L bowl)
Electric whisk batter 2 mins
Cling film, 30 mins
Brush oil rings and pans
Heat two medium fry pans, 3 in each
220c to start, quarter cup batter into each ring, turn down heat after 2 mins to 190
Flip if needed, try blow torch
